The Birth of the Cambridge United Methodist Preaching Point
Our Story
The 16th of September 2018 was a key milestone in the History of the United Methodist Church in the UK with the birth of a new preaching point. The day was filled with optimism and religious fervour which was fuelled by powerful sermons. Since September 2018 then the Waterbeach Baptist Chapel has become a home for the United Methodist Church in Cambridgeshire.
Our services are conducted in Shona and English to accommodate the diverse community that we serve. Praise and worship is a very important part of our church services. Our spiritual service of worship is inspired by Psalm 100:1 – 4:
Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth.2 Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the Lord is God. It is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture.4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.
News and Events
On September 15th 2019 between 1pm-6pm we will be celebrating our first anniversary. The day will be imbued with vibrant worship, testimonies and fitting gospel. Everyone is welcome to join us as we celebrate and thank God for his presence.
