Brief history:
A small group of people namely Mr Lazarus Chikoore and Mrs Nancy Chikoore and family, Mrs Sipiwe Ruwodo and family, Mukuna and family Jane Chitombo, brother Innocent started meeting in their houses for prayers in 2000 before others joined in. They started traveling to London for church in Hackney where another group had started to meeting to worship as UMC members.
In January 2001 the group in Luton started gathering as a section led by Reverend B Mukoyi . In March 2001 the number of people increased and they started meeting on Sundays and the following were elected.

Members kept growing and Luton was made a preaching point in April 2001. Luton is the mother church of all churches in Central charge and some in Midlands. Luton moved from place to place to find a place to meet every Sunday. This includes schools, halls, hotels and Anglican church until we moved where we are now in 2009.
